Biannual A&FS Outstanding Employee Award -- Presented December 21, 2011

John Dehmann   John always greets you with a smile and something nice to say.  He is always on time with his mail rounds and will give me a special call if I have a death certificate that he knows I have been waiting for.  He will gladly make an extra delivery or pickup if needed.  John returns any printing jobs immediately, even if they aren’t needed for months.  He has a great work ethic.  John always checks my work and points out if I may have missed something.  He has more information regarding the medical students than I do and catches any class mistakes I may have made, which saves time and paper.  It’s nice to have someone who cares enough to look at what he is doing and not just do it.  He doesn’t hesitate to call if he has a question.  Since I really don’t work directly with the med students, it’s nice to have someone who can double check names and classes.  His help is especially appreciated when it is time to do all the mailing and printing involved with the annual Memorial Service and all the answer sheets for Gross Anatomy practicals and those pesky honor code sheets.   Provides refreshing outlook to a typically mundane environment.  Carries out all duties promptly while exhibiting a positive and friendly demeanor.  Always at work on time (early), goes out of his way to process work order request even if only given an hour’s notice.  John is a well-liked individual.  He is always there to listen and knows everyone in the college, so if someone is asking who so and so is you can always ask John.  Maintains a professional behavior at all times.
