Kathy is the director of CHP and AHEC programs at OU-HCOM. As director, her main responsibilities are working behind the scenes to keep the programs running effectively. She received her R.N. degree from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1977, and her B.S.N. in 1992, and her M.H.A. in 2000, both from Ohio University. Kathy has been recognized professionally many times. Among those awards are the OU-HCOM Dean’s Award in 2004, the OU-HCOM Standard of Excellence Award in 2005, and Ohio's Distinguished Rural Health Administrator Award in 2007. Kathy was chosen as a substance abuse prevention advocate for Athens County in 2006. She also received the Foster Cornwell Award for community service in 2010 from the Athens Foundation. She has been with CHP since 2000 and says the things she enjoys most about her job are working with “people and the nature of the job – helping others.”
