| Kathy is the director of CHP
and AHEC programs at OU-COM. As director, her main
responsibilities are working behind the scenes to keep our
programs running effectively. She received her R.N. degree
from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1977, and her B.S.N.
from in 1992, and her M.H.A. in 2000, both from Ohio
University. Kathy has been recognized professionally many
times. Among those awards are the OU-COM Dean’s Award in
2004 and the OU-COM Standard of Excellence Award in 2005.
Kathy is also a substance abuse prevention advocate for
Athens County. She says the things she enjoys most about her
job are working with “people and the nature of the job –
helping others.” |

that reached over 1,650 community
members in rural areas. |
