If you plan to apply to OU-HCOM, you will need:

  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution
     
  • U.S. citizenship or a permanent visa
     
  • A full academic year with no grade lower than a C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in each of the following:

Additional coursework in biochemistry, anatomy and histology is recommended but not required.

Appropriate lab work should also be taken with Biology/Zoology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics

  • For fall 2014 entry - only MCAT tests taken in 2011, 2012 and 2013 will be considered valid. Results from the January 2014 MCAT administration will be given consideration provided that you have at least one other valid MCAT score on file.
     
  • Letters of recommendation from either a premed committee OR two letters from natural science faculty who taught you in class.
     
  • The ability to meet Health and Technical Standards
