Pursuing additional degrees while completing your D.O. may seem like adding extra time to your medical education, but that investment will provide you with the tools to advance farther in your chosen field. Most masters programs can add two years, while the D.O./Ph.D. will add at least three. Potential masters programs include the M.H.A, M.P.H, M.B.A., M.A. and M.S.

Admission into the medical school does not guarantee admission into other graduate programs. Students will apply to their selected program during their first year of medical school and must meet the individual admission requirements of their intended program. Additional tests such as the GRE may be required for admission consideration. Be sure to consult the current Ohio University Graduate Catalog for full details.

Contact Dr. Sonsoles de Lacalle, Director of the Office of Advanced Studies for more information concerning the dual master degree options.
