The Medal of Merit
award is a prestigious honor that goes to alumni who
have achieved distinction in their chosen field of
medicine through commitment and exemplary
leadership.
The Outstanding
Alumnus/Alumna of the Year award is given to
alumni who have distinguished themselves in their
career and personal life in supporting the mission
of promoting health and preventing disease.
The Honorary
Alumnus/Alumna award is given to non-alumni who
have brought honor, provided exemplary service and
support to OU-COM and its community of alumni,
students, faculty and staff through significant and
selfless contributions to local, regional or
national communities, and who have positively
impacted Ohio University while also bringing
inspiration to the university community.
The Recent
Graduate is awarded to alumni within fifteen
years following their graduation, who have have made
a positive use of their medical education to serve
their community or profession in a leadership role
and who have been actively engaged with the
university through exemplary service or support.
The OU-COM Society
of Alumni and Friends Distinguished Service Award
is given to alumni who have supported Ohio
University and the Alumni Association through alumni
chapters, clubs, societies or other organizations. |
