Dr. Jack Brose is Dean and Professor of Family Medicine at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Brose is also the Chair of the Ohio Council of Medical School Deans.
 
After receiving his undergraduate degree in biology from Gettysburg College in 1972, Dr. Brose attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. He completed a residency in family practice at the USAF Medical Center Scott, Scott Air Force Base in 1979; he was Chief Resident from 1978 - 1979.
   
Dr. Brose is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Family Practice. In 1980, he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Brose is active with the American Osteopathic Association. He currently serves on the AOA Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, and is a member of the AACOM Council of Deans and the Assembly of Presidents.
 
Dr. Brose is a well respected educator among his peers and by his students. In 2001, he was named the Family Practice Educator of the Year by the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. In his more than 20 years of teaching at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he has received 25 awards for his teaching expertise ranging from 20 Outstanding Instructor awards to Faculty Recognition and Family Physician of the Year awards.  
   
Dr. Brose is the author of many academic and research publications including the book entitled "Guide to EKG Interpretation." He is also a highly sought after speaker on a wide range of medical and research topics. For more detailed information, Dr. Brose's Curriculum Vitae.
