Muscle Pain and Trigger Points

Soft tissue problems are a commonly overlooked cause of chronic pain and can inhibit function and quality of life. Treatment of trigger points with acupuncture needles provides a safe and effective method for deactivation. This interactive session will provide demonstrations and practice in trigger point deactivation for each participant.

Evidenced-Based Diagnosis and Management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
 
A sizeable gap exists between the awareness of current guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of COPD and their usage in guiding clinical decisions. This educational program will guide primary care providers to effectively screen, diagnose and manage patients with COPD, with the goal of slowing the progressive loss of lung function and improving the patient’s overall quality of life.
