Diabetes Fellow

The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an osteopathic physician for a clinical fellowship in Diabetes Management. The candidate must have completed residency training in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics and have a special interest in diabetes including clinical practice, teaching and research in diabetes. The candidate will gain expertise in the treatment of adults and children with diabetes and its related conditions.
 
SALARY & BENEFITS:

Member, University Medical Associates, plus base University salary at the Clinical Instructor/Fellow Rank.

AVAILABLE: Tentative starting date is July 1, 2006.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  •       Graduate of an AOA-/AMA-approved residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics

  •       Board eligible or Board Certified in their specialty

  •       Ohio licensure or credentials allowing same; and

  •       DEA licensure
     

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •       Provide outpatient care at the Diabetes Center under the supervision of Clinical Faculty.

  •       Provide inpatient consultation services at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital

  •       Teach and participate in the training of medical students, residents, as assigned by the medical school

  •       Participate in academic and administrative function as assigned by the Department Chair or Section Head; and

  •       Participate in scholarly research and teaching
