Free breast health
education, mammograms available
The Ohio University Heritage College of
Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) will
provide free breast health education and
breast cancer screenings for uninsured
and underinsured women ages 40 to 49 on
Thursday, Jan. 12 and Thursday, Jan. 19.
The clinics will feature clinical breast
examinations, breast health education,
assistance with making mammogram
appointments and vouchers for free
mammograms.
Each clinic will take place from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. Appointments are required and
can be scheduled by calling toll free at
1.800.844.2654 or 740.593.2432.
The clinics will be held at the Heritage
Community Clinic in Grosvenor West Hall
on the west green of the Ohio University
campus. Free parking is available in
front of the clinic.
The clinics are a community service
provided by OU-HCOM’s Community Health
Programs, the Breast and Cervical Cancer
Projects of Southeast Ohio, and the
Columbus affiliate of the Susan G. Komen
for the Cure.
