Help develop college’s long-range strategic plan
Dean Jack Brose, D.O., is inviting all faculty, staff and students to participate in a new, long-range strategic planning process called “OU-COM 2020.”
The college’s Executive Committee began work on the initiative last month, when it formed the following three sub-committees:

ARC opens
The new Academic & Research Center is now open.
“The ARC represents the beginning of a new era for research at OU-COM,” says Dean Jack Brose, D.O., in an e-mail announcing the opening and sent to OU-COM faculty, staff and students.
“We anticipate new interdisciplinary collaborations arising from researchers working together in this shared space, collaborations that will lead to advancements in biomedicine. The ARC promises to be a unique place where faculty and medical students will engage in discoveries that will lead to better patient care,” Brose said.
The university will hold a celebratory, public grand opening celebration for the ARC Saturday, May 8.
Office shuffle begins
In preparation for the development of the new Clinical Training and Assessment Center and Free Clinic and the move of OU-COM researchers to the Academic & Research Center, dozens of faculty and staff members will be changing offices.
Slated to start later this month, the office shuffling will occur on a rolling basis until the end of the quarter. A new directory of offices will be issued once the moves are completed.
ROUNDS will report details as they become final.
