Gurbinder Singh, OMS IV
2007 Zinni Scholar
Gurbinder Singh’s passion for medicine began
in India, before his family moved to the United States.
“I saw poverty everywhere,” he says, “so I
was compassionate about helping those in need since I was
very young.”
When Singh first moved to Cleveland, he
worked in a nursing home, which fueled his love for medicine
and service. After earning a degree in business
administration in 2002, Singh worked in information
technology at the Cleveland Clinic before pursuing this
childhood dream of medicine.
“Before I even started at OU-COM, I believed
in ideas of a whole-body approach, which made adopting
osteopathic principles effortless,” he says.
Singh is interested in internal medicine,
preventive medicine and cardiology. He plans to return to
Northeastern Ohio to practice medicine in Summit County.
