“A Time of Transition for Many”
Summer days in Athens certainly bring about an
exciting time of transition for many OU-COM
students.
As OU-COM’s third year students finish their
coursework in Athens and eagerly gear up to begin
their clinical training at CORE Hospitals across
Ohio, the incoming members of the Class of 2012 are
preparing to embark upon the first steps of
their medical school careers—Orientation and
Clinical Anatomy Immersion.
The Class of 2012 Orientation will commence on July
28 with the Picnic at Dairy Lane.
This picnic marks the beginning of a four year
journey for these first year students. The picnic
is followed by a week of Orientation, with sessions
ranging from Valuing Diversity to Honor Code
Discussion to Tablet Training. Without a doubt this
is an exciting time for both the students and the
OU-COM community as we welcome this extraordinarily
gifted class. The week closes with the first Gross
Anatomy and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine labs.
We wish the best of luck to both the Class of 2010
and the Class of 2012 as these students begin new
and significant chapters in their medical education
and lives! |
