In an effort to support educational programs at OU-HCOM, Student Government funds a finite number of events each fiscal year.  These events include but are not limited to:  speaker presentations, attendance at national conferences and community outreach programs.

All interested students and student organizations are encouraged to apply as early as possible for funding during the academic year.  Requests are granted on a first-come first-serve basis; there are limited funds available to support national conference attendance.

OU-HCOM Student Government Funding Regulations

  1. Funding request forms must be typed or clearly printed.

  2. Funding requests may be made by an officially recognized OU-HCOM organization. Individuals applying under a organization may not request funding without the support of their OU-HCOM organization.

  3. Individuals may apply for funding.

  4. Student Government will not approve funding for events that have not been registered. To register the event, click here for the Event Registration Form. If you are applying for conference attendance there is no need to register.

  5. If you are applying for an event/conference attendance that has already taken pace, please attach itemized receipts for which you are seeking reimbursement to the Reimbursement Form. You must have previously submitted a funding request in order to receive reimbursement. Click here for the Reimbursement Form.

  6. Applicants for funding must personally attend the Student Government meeting at which their proposal will be discussed. Failure to attend could result in automatic rejection of the funding proposal. After submission of this form you will be notified of the date of the meeting. If you cannot attend due to a reasonable excuse (i.e. Third- and fourth-year students away at CORE sites), a representative from the organization may appear on your behalf.

  7. If applying for funding for a national conference, the applicant must complete Part E of Section II of the Funding Request Form and sign a letter of intention as to how his/her participation in the conference will benefit the OU-HCOM community at large.

  8. Student Government will not allocate more than $400 per event.

  9. Student Government does not allocate funds for food.

  10. The amount of funding granted is left up to the discretion of Student Government.
