letters of recommendation from a current
medical school application?
No. Because the
Summer Scholars program is unique, your
letters of recommendation should reflect
your application to this specific program,
not to medical school in general.
Why do you
need my or my parent’s tax information?
This information
is requested so that we may determine a
student’s economic status for participation
in the program. All application information
will be kept confidential and all tax
information will be shredded at the
conclusion of the selection process.
Do I have to be
interviewed to participate in Summer
Scholars?
No.
Selection for participation in Summer
Scholars will be based upon your application
materials, including letters of
recommendation. You will be notified
via regular mail, email, or phone if you are selected to
participate. The committee plans to
have selections made by early April, 2007.
