Specific CCE Goals:

Gain knowledge of the
diagnostic and treatment functions of a cardiac
catheterization laboratory.
Objectives/Activities:
By participating in this assignment, medical students will be able to:
Gain knowledge
cardiac catheterization procedures used to diagnose and
treat cardiac and vascular
abnormalities.
Consider the cardiac patient’s response
to the
cardiac catheterization experience.
Equipment Needed for Activity:
None
Dress:
Fairfield
Medical Center has a strict dress code. Be advised
they do not allow bare legs or open-toed shoes, visible
tattoos must be covered by band aids, only two earrings may
be worn in each ear and no other piercing should be visible. White
lab jacket and identification badge must be worn with professional casual clothes, no blue
jeans or tennis shoes.

Continue to follow US-33-BR / LANCASTER BUSINESS
ROUTE. Go through one light and look for the sign
for Wilson Lane.
Turn right onto Wilson Lane and then take the next
left onto Sugar Grove Road. Follow Sugar Grove
Road for several miles and up the hill until it
becomes Ewing St. Stay straight on Ewing St
until you come to Fairfield Medical Center on your
left. Cardiology is on the 1st floor. |
Responsibilities of the Medical
Student:
· While on agency property, medical students
will conform to all applicable policies and procedures of
the agency.
· Medical students will exercise confidentiality
with regard to all patient and/staff information gained
during the clinical experience.
