The Area Heath Education Center offers community outreach via service learning opportunities for medical students such as participation in health fairs, special events such as Little People’s Hospital, health screenings, and community health education.
 
The Area Health Education Center offers resources for medical students interested in providing outreach through the Health Resource Library (HRL). The HRL maintains resources for health teaching, health fairs, and outreach. The OU-HCOM AHEC is an American Heart Association training center that provides Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Heart Saver classes for students in health careers, health professionals and the community.
