The Community-Based
Participatory Research Learning Community enters its
third quarter, with continued support from the
Office of Campus and Community Engagement and a
recently awarded grant from the Department of
Education. Designed to support faculty development
and facilitate the development of effective
community-university partnerships, the CBPR Learning
Community offers an interactive, peer consultation
model focused on building capacity for equitable
partnership for research.

Developing Focus Group Moderator Guides
Margaret Hutzel,
Voinovich School research associate, leads a
discussion about the importance of
well-developed scripts as an essential feature
of focus group methods. This presentation will
involve consultation to an IPAC project
examining how mental health communications
facilitate or inhibit decision to use mental
health services.
