helps OU-HCOM Community Clinic
Sigma Sigma Phi presents the 2012 Medicine Run/Walk and Kids’
Obstacle Course

(Athens, OH – 3.1.12) The 32nd annual 5k
Medicine Run and Kids’ Obstacle Course will be held on Sunday, April
22, 9 a.m. Runners, walkers, wheelchair racers and children are
welcomed to take part in the 3.1 mile race,
The course winds its way along the Hock-Hocking Adena
Bikeway, Ohio University streets, and walkways on the university’s
South and West Greens – a route that provides a flat terrain for all
participants.
Prizes will be given to age group winners. Children
are also encouraged to participate in the Kids’ Obstacle Course that
will start the same day at 9:15 a.m. outside Grosvenor Hall.
The event is co-sponsored by the Ohio University
Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) and the Lambda
Chapter of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society, a community
service-based student group whose mission is to promote continued
betterment of the college, advancement of a higher scholastic
standing, and perpetuation and advancement of osteopathic medicine.
Proceeds raised from this event benefit the OU-HCOM
Heritage Community Clinic.
Early registrants will receive a free T-shirt.
T-shirts will be sold separately for those who register after March
26. Cost to enter is $20 for adults, $10 for adults over the age of
55, and $5 for children under the age of 12.
