Save a life by donating at upcoming blood drive

(ATHENS, Ohio Sept. 9, 2013)The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic of Medicine chapter of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association and the Family Medicine Club will host the annual Fall American Red Cross blood drive on Monday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Grosvenor Hall 113. If you last gave before July 29, you are eligible to donate again.

Donors will be eligible to receive a buy one, get one free coupon for admission to the Columbus Zoo, and tickets are also available for Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey games.

If you signed up for the American Red Cross blood drives in the past, please note the appointment scheduling process changed recently. The process now requires donors to set up an account on the American Red Cross website, which only takes a few seconds to complete. You can use the same website to search for other blood drives in the area if you are unable to attend the event at OU-HCOM.

Appointments also can be made by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. For information, contact Andrew Schaub, OMS II, or Anne Lilly, OMS II.
