This program makes available broad-based
community education on car seat safety. Car
seat classes are held every other month.
Low-cost car seats (a $5 donation) are
available to WIC-eligible families in Athens
County with children between the ages of 6
months and 8 years of age. They are required
to attend the class session through the Ohio
Buckles Buckeyes Program to be informed of
Ohio law and how to properly restrain their
child. The seat then must be installed in
their vehicle by a child passenger safety
technician. The major goal of this program
is to promote child passenger safety in
Athens County. |
