Elizabeth Patterson Elizabeth's January Diary - 1-15-04 6:45 Wake up, and get ready for the day. 7:30 Drive to school in the snow 8-10 Class consisting of a problem set on hemodynamics of the heart. The 4 problems we had for homework took me 2 hours. After going over the answers in this class, I was happy to find I got the first three correct. 10-12 OMM Lab… we learned ligamentous articular release of the upper thoracics. 12-1 Meeting of the Family Practice Club. We talked about elections for next year. I was nominated to run for secretary! I am a little hesitant because I have never had to run against one of my friends, so it will be a little weird. But it would be fun to be the secretary. 1-2 Read, and prepare for my case based learning class 2-3 I went to one of the OMM fellow’s offices for some OMM treatment. My neck has been hurting from all the reading and looking at computer screens. The treatment was good, lots of stretching of the fascia, and they showed me a way to do it at home. 3-5 Case based learning class where we are discussing an aortic stenosis case. 5-7 Drive home, cook dinner for my husband and I, and eat dinner. Relax a little. 7-10 Homework consisting of reading 2 chapters in Pathophysiology of Heart Disease, looking over last weeks antiarrythmic drugs, and preparing for tomorrows classes. 10-11 Hang out with my husband, relax and go to bed Wow today was a full day… but I got a lot done and my neck feels better from the OMM treatment. That is one plus about going to this school – free treatment when you need it!
