                    * Reminder from the Admissions Office to complete your file *

Applying to medical school is a time consuming process to say the least!  There are letters of recommendations to secure, application fees to pay, essays to write and transcripts to send.  How can you be sure that everything is on track and that your application is receiving the full consideration it deserves?  At OU-COM, it's easy - simply call us toll-free, 1.800.345.1560 to check on the status of your application.

Your file is considered complete and eligible for committee review once these four easy steps have been completed:

     1.  The Primary application has been submitted to AACOMAS by the February 1, 2004
deadline.  AACOMAS will need MCAT scores and transcripts from ALL institutions attended
before they can begin processing your application.

     2.  The OU-COM secondary application has been submitted by the March 15, 2004 deadline.
 * Beginning July 2003, secondary applications were emailed to all eligible applicants *
Please check the email address you provided on the AACOMAS application to retrieve
information on the secondary application.  If you think that you may have deleted your
secondary, or if you don't remember receiving one, please call the toll-free number above.
We will be glad to check your file and resend the secondary either electronically or through
     regular mail.

     3.  Appropriate letters of recommendation need to be received by March 15, 2004.  OU-COM
requires either a letter from your premed committee OR two letters from natural science
faculty who taught you in class.  A letter from a D.O. is strongly encouraged.  You may use
the confidential evaluation forms that were sent along with the secondary application OR your
recommenders can use their own letterhead.

     4.  Out-of state applicants must sign the contract for admission.  If you have questions
about the contract, please call the toll-free number and ask to speak with a counselor.

Your file must be complete by March 15 to be considered for an interview.  Interviews for seats in the entering class of 2004 will conclude in mid-April.
