The application cycle for those wishing to enter OU-COM this fall is almost at a close.  The credential deadline for all applications was March 15.  Materials that arrive after this date will be placed with your file, however we cannot guarantee that your file will be reviewed by the selection committee for a potential interview.

Interviews for a spot in the entering class of 2004 will conclude on April 21, 2004.  If you applied, but were not selected for an interview, we hope that you will consider reapplying for 2005.  Before reapplying, it is usually helpful to reflect on your current application and look for ways to strengthen your profile. We recommend some of the following activities: retaking the MCAT, pursuing advanced-level coursework in the natural sciences and additional volunteer or clinical work.  Remember, shadowing or spending time with a D.O. is a beneficial way to learn more about our profession as well as to potentially gain more clinical experience.  Visit the AOA site to locate a D.O. in your home state.

For students who have been placed on the alternate list -- remember to have any new information sent to us by April 21st.  We encourage you to supply us with any updates to your file by this date so that we can have the information added to your file by the rank alternate meeting at the end of April.  We are looking for any information that we didn't have access to at the time of your interview.  This includes (but isn't limited to) fall or winter grades and/or new letters of recommendation.
