Undergraduate Research Opportunities |
|
Undergraduate students have several
opportunities to participate in research
experiences in my laboratory. Biological
science majors may sign up, with my prior
approval, for credit under Undergraduate
Research (BIOS 493, 494H); Honors Tutorial
College students may sign up for tutorials
or senior honor theses, after consultation
with the Biological Sciences HTC advisor. In
addition, I have hosted student researchers
through the
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
(SURF) program, Program to Aid Career
Exploration (PACE), and HTC Research
Apprenticeships. |

|
Summer Medical Student Research Fellowships |
| OU-HCOM
medical students may assist in a research
projects conducted in my laboratory during
the summer between their first and second
years through the
Summer Medical Student Research Fellowship
program. Students are trained in the use of
force platform technology for assessing limb
function, high-speed videography for
assessing limb movement patterns, and
plain-film radiography for reconstructing
cross-sectional geometries of mandibles and
limb long bones. |
