| Current
Research:
My principal research
interests are oxygen toxicity, free radical damage
and antioxidants in eukaryotic cells.
Current research
projects involve:
- Studies on the
Hypoxia-Inducible Factor system in marine
organisms.
- The expression
of glutamate receptors in cells of the immune
system.
- Signal
transduction mechanisms mediated by glutamate
receptors in the immune system.
- Fetal ethanol
exposure in rats: studies on myocardium,
neurons, thymocytes and erythrocytes.
- Pathways of
ethanol metabolism in erythrocytes.
