Welcome to OU-COM's
Biomedical Sciences!
The
Department of Biomedical Sciences is composed of 27
faculty members from diverse disciplines including
anatomists, physiologists, biochemists,
microbiologists and cell biologists. Our faculty
members teach in the College of Osteopathic Medicine
curricula, train graduate students and pursue
original scientific research. They are involved in
independent and collaborative research in molecular
biology, infectious disease, cell and system
physiology, functional morphology and evolutionary
biology. The department also houses the
Tropical
Disease Institute and the
Interdisciplinary
Institute for Neuromusculoskeleletal Research.
The home pages for the individual faculty members
document their specialties and research productivity
in publications and grant funding. |
