The
Department of Biomedical Sciences is composed of
over 30 faculty members from diverse biomedical and
biological disciplines. Our mission is to serve the
Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM)
through teaching in the medical undergraduate and
graduate programs as well as in the Master's and
Ph.D. programs with which department faculty are
associated. In addition, we are dedicated to basic
research in the life sciences, applied biomedical
research and research in medical education. Finally,
our department is committed to serving OU-HCOM, Ohio
University, the osteopathic profession, the
community of southeast Ohio and the medical and
scientific communities at the state, national and
international levels.
