The Department of
Specialty Medicine, established in 1990, consists of certified
osteopathic (D.O.) and medical (M.D.) physicians in
different specialty areas such as general surgery,
orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, dermatology,
neurology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology,
pathology, psychiatry, radiology,
diabetes/endocrinology, acupuncture and
dermatology.
DSM faculty members teach OU-HCOM medical students in
the classroom and in the clinical setting throughout
the year, serve the local community by providing
medical services, and conduct medical research.
Faculty have academic offices located in Grosvenor
West and Grosvenor Hall and clinic offices located
at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville (Ohio Health), at Parks
Hall (Ohio University campus), and the Castrop Center in Athens. |
