Athens Meigs Educational Service Center
Working with schools districts in Athens, Gallia and Meigs Counties, the Athens Meigs Educational Service Center (AMESC) is committed to improving student achievement, providing high quality services, and operating efficiently and effectively. The AMESC employs over 200 dedicated professionals who proudly deliver more than 60 programs and services. The AMESC is committed to continued collaboration among valued school and community partners to build strong lasting partnerships and programs that improve educational opportunities for all members of the school communities that we serve.

The Appalachian Rural Health Institute
The Appalachian Rural Health Institute is an interdisciplinary health services and research institute at Ohio University. The goal of ARHI is to improve the health status and related quality of life of underserved rural populations, especially those in the Appalachian region.

COAD
The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a private, non-profit community-based organization serving rural, mostly Appalachian, counties in eastern and southern Ohio. It is comprised of seventeen Community Action Agencies that serve a 30 county area. COAD has three major program divisions: Community Development, Early Care and Education and Senior Programs. COAD also offers scholarship assistance and leadership development opportunities. The Early Care and Education Division will assist parents is locating child care and support individuals interested in getting into the child care business.

Family Healthcare, Inc.
Family Healthcare, Inc. is a Community Health Center and a private 501(c)3 non-profit corporation which provides primary care in Southern Ohio. We serve patients from Ross, Vinton, Athens, Meigs, Hocking and Perry Counties with six service locations, one in each county. In 2008, we provided services to over 22,000 individuals throughout our service area.

Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine
The mission of OU-COM is to educate students to become physicians practicing osteopathic medicine in service to the region, the state, and beyond. Integral to that mission, OU-COM commits itself to serving the health needs of people within the Appalachian region; embracing diversity and public service, with integrity and respect for those served; and emphasizing primary care and improving the well-being of underserved populations.

Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine Community Health Programs
CHP provides free or low cost services to residents in Southeastern Ohio and provides Well Child and Prenatal programs, the Healthy Adult Project, the Childhood Immunization Program, and the Athens County TB program. CHP also participates in AmeriCorps, bringing additional volunteers to the area. Each program is coordinated by highly qualified and dedicated staff.

Ohio University Hearing, Speech, and Language Clinic
The Ohio University Hearing, Speech, and Language Clinic is devoted to serving individuals in the community who are having difficulty hearing, speaking and understanding language. The clinic offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for all ages, infant through adult. The clinic is open year round in the newly renovated Grover Center on Richland Avenue in Athens. The Hearing, Speech, and Language Clinic is part of the College of Health and Human Services. Consistent with the training mission of the College, diagnostic and treatment services are provided by student clinicians under the supervision of experienced, licensed, and certified clinical instructors. Supervision is carried out in accordance with guidelines mandated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the State of Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

The Ohio University Psychology and Social Work Clinic (PSWC)
The Ohio University Psychology and Social Work Clinic (PSWC) is an outpatient clinic that is supported by the Departments of Psychology and Social Work and was established as a clinical training site for the graduate students of these departments. The PSWC mission is to pursue excellence in the training of graduate students through opportunities to engage in cutting edge research and progressive treatments. The PSWC strives to emphasize the clinical application of psychological research in order to benefit the individuals and families in our community and region.

The Ohio University Scripps College of Communication

The Ohio University Scripps College of Communication is a leader in communication education, research, and practice. Its goals are to prepare students to be effective and responsible communicators and advance the field through creative activity and research on communication concepts, issues and problems. The Health Communication program in the School of Communication Studies focuses on how prevention, health, and healing acquire meaning through symbolic interactions situated within a variety of contexts including social, political, cultural, and economic contexts. Faculty and students are engaged in collaborative efforts with community organizations to address health inequities, craft public policies, develop and implement communication campaigns, and increase health literacy in Southeastern Ohio.
