Telehealth is the delivery of
health-related services and distance
learning via telecommunications
technologies. Telehealth is an
expansion of telemedicine, and
unlike telemedicine (which more
narrowly focuses on the curative
aspect) it encompasses preventive,
promotive and curative aspects. In
that regard, Telehealth at OU-HCOM is
able to focus on both the clinical
and non-clinical aspects of this
emerging Medical Informatics
discipline for all those we serve.
