The Department of Pediatrics at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine consists of five on campus physicians and twenty-two CORE clinical faculty members. Established as a department in 1997, faculty members provide classroom and clinical pediatric education to OU-COM medical students, interns, and residents. As teachers, they are involved in all levels of training for osteopathic medical students. This includes year I and II classroom teaching in the CPC and PCC curricula and providing clinical contact experience for these students, clinical preceptoring for year III and IV students, and rotations with interns and residents. In addition to the educational component of the department, clinical pediatric faculty provide services to children living in Southeastern Ohio and conduct medical research.
