When a department chair
approves a request for vacation time for a faculty member that has
teaching
responsibilities during the requested vacation time period, the
department chair is responsible
for identifying a qualified replacement to fulfill those teaching obligations. The department chair is also
responsible for notifying the curriculum office
of the faculty
substitution.
