Health Fair Policy

Purpose: This policy establishes guidelines for area health fairs.

Policy:  OU-COM Community Service Programs and UMA are often asked to participate in, host or co-host health fairs or health fair exhibits or programs. These activities are primarily coordinated by UMA Marketing Department or OU-COM CSP.

Procedures:  All health fair activities must appropriately represent the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  This will be carried out by:

  • Logo will be displayed in a prominent place

  • Staff will look and act in a professional manner

  • Equipment needed will be properly calibrated, maintained and used

  • Adequate and appropriate supplies and promotional material will be used

  • Clients will be treated in a professional manner

  • Patient referrals for any identified health concerns will be addressed

  • If OU-COM is responsible for organizing the event, proper steps for coordinating the event will be followed for planning, advertising, staffing and conducting the event
