Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) Office of Medical Informatics (OMI) will support off-site equipment technical systems for those HCOM personnel who are on official “telecommute” status as authorized in writing by the appropriate department head.

 

Authorization for such telecommute status must be requested and granted in writing prior to implementation.

Support  Parameters

    1. Equipment and software purchased by or licensed by HCOM.
    1. Software and hardware installations deemed essential to off-site based work as determined by the employee’s immediate supervisor in consultation with OMI staff.
    1. Support will be provided during normal business hours.
    1. Repairs will be covered by standard OMI procedures.
    1. Whenever possible, personnel will bring the off-site based equipment to the appropriate OMI facility for service.  Visits by OMI staff to off-site locations will be accommodated only when no practical or cost effective alternative exists.  All expenses, will be charged to the office authorizing the official telecommute status.
