Distribution of indirect costs for research grants will follow the Vice

Distribution of indirect costs for research grants will follow the Vice President for Research guidelines as listed on the web at http://www.ohiou.edu/orsp/orsp_indcostratedist.htm

Distribution of indirect costs for public service and instructional/training grants will be allocated to the College’s Research Incentive account. Exceptions to this policy will be determined on a case by case basis by the Associate Dean for Research & Grants based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated need for funds to supplement grant activity;
  • Effort of the Project Director and associated units in the development of the grant proposal

Procedures:

To request consideration for the above exceptions, please submit justification in writing with the transmittal form to the Office of Research and Grants at the time of proposal submission.  If approved, the portion of indirect costs coming to the College will be distributed to Research Incentive accounts as follows:

65% to the Project Director and/or their unit

35% to the College
