All communications from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (HCOM) to the students of the College which are deemed vital to the academic process of student(s) or are vital to the financial, contractual or other agreements shall be made as described below.

 

When the communications are applicable to an entire HCOM class or subsets thereof, they shall be made by announcements during the regularly scheduled class, or by posting in appropriate places previously designated for such notices, and by email to the student’s University account.  Students shall be responsible for any such announcements sent via email or other methods.  Students shall be expected to check their assigned College mailbox and University email on a daily basis.

 

Communications to individual students shall be made in writing.  Such communication shall be placed in the student’s mailbox, mailed to the student’s current home address, or sent via University email whichever is appropriate to the nature of the communication.  It shall be the responsibility of the student to provide OU-HCOM Student Affairs with his/her correct, current home address, and to forward e-mails received through the University account to the preferred account.
