Presented to the
outstanding graduating OU-HCOM student based at each fully participating
hospital in the Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE)
system.
Final selection is made by the CORE Assistant Dean and CORE
Administrator (with input from the Director of Medical Education,
Medical Education Coordinator, Program Directors, and Chief Residents).
Factors and characteristics taken into consideration when determining
appropriate recipients for this award include, but are not limited to,
the following:
Academic achievement, Community
involvement, Peer mentoring, Honors rotations, Exemplary clinical
performance evaluations, Research projects, Publications, Case-based
papers, Good standing status as well as Punctuality and attendance,
Positive attitude toward challenge, and Professional behavior.
