Grade Change:
Forms/Procedures

Once a grade is assigned on the computer sheets at the end of the quarter, there are only two means by which a student's grade in a course may be changed:
  1. The Special Grade Report Form

  2. Repeating the course after properly registering for said course and paying tuition.

The Special Grade Report Form is a university form used by the faculty and staff, which functions in the same capacity as the computerized grade report sheet. It can be used either to replace a temporary grade of I or PR or to change an F grade following successful completion of some remedial work as a general rule, the only acceptable reasons for changing a grade are: (1) the completion of remedial work as approved by the Committee on Student Progress and the Dean or (2) miscalculation of the grade.

Student Review of Exam Answer Key

Subsequent to each formal written student assessment, all examination answer keys will be available for student review in the Curriculum Graduate Assistant's office until the next block exam. The following two protocols will be followed.

To identify content deficiency, students will be allowed to review their responses to test items for a period not to exceed 60 minutes. This one-time opportunity for review must be scheduled with the Curriculum Graduate Assistant (GA) and will be conducted in his/her presence. The Curriculum GA will maintain a record of individual activity.

For the purpose of identifying a pattern of problems with test taking, students may also review exams with a learning specialist. A single needs assessment for process difficulty will be allowed per exam and will not exceed 60 minutes. The learning specialist will maintain a record of individual activity.
