The
Student Survival Manual is essentially required
reading. It contains the honor code and other
important college and campus policies — the rules by
which we govern our lives.

It is each student’s
responsibility to be familiar with the contents of
the Student Survival Manual. Those new to OU-HCOM should
read it with care. Returning students should also
study this handbook, both to review its contents and
also to discover what is new. We hope that these
pages will not only inform but also encourage and
inspire readers to explore college policies fully
and to recognize and celebrate both the privileges
and the responsibilities that we all share as
members of this learning community.
Finally, it is
important to note that OU-HCOM students also are
subject to Ohio University policies. University
policies affecting students are summarized in the
Ohio University Student Handbook, which can be
accessed at
www.ohiou.edu/~deanstu/handbook/welcome.htm.
