When necessary,
microscopes and prepared slides will be supplied for your use. You are
not required to purchase your own slides or microscope.
However, students issued slide sets microscopes will be held
financially responsible for them.
Microscopes and slide sets are valuable learning
tools and very costly. Therefore,
microscopes and slide sets are not to be removed from
the laboratory (unless authorized by
the instructor), and they should
never be taken out of the buildings. Taking a
slide set or microscope home or to other
places of use increases the chance of breakage or
theft. Any missing microscopes or slide sets should
be reported immediately to the
instructor and Ohio University
Police Department.
Microscopes and slide sets are not available to individuals who are
not associated with instructional units of the
Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
