Mission:

The purpose of the OB/GYN Club is to provide osteopathic medical students with information about training and careers in OB/GYN, discuss women's health issues, and provide an atmosphere for students to interact with current physicians.

Services Provided:

This organization provides the community with information about women's health by holding speakers and community events that allow our students and the community to work together for better understanding and commitment to women's health. We are actively involved in raising money for Susan G. Komen every year. 

Tentative Schedule for 2012-13

Fall Semester:

• Breast Cancer research fundraiser and American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

• Residency visit and dinner with Doctor's hospital in Columbus

• A day in the life of an OB/GYN: dinner with local doctors

• Walk a Mile in Her Shoes with Ohio University- Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence

• Trimble Local Schools- Girl Power overnighter 

Spring Semester:

• Understanding the Problems of Anorexia and Bulimia

• Natural Childbirth lecture

• Transexual Health Discussion

• OMM pregnant patient workshop,

• O'Bleness OB/GYN Residency lectures and understanding getting in to OB/GYN residencies

• Obstetrics and Gynecology board review

DUES: $20.00 paid each year by members
